Borrow Materials from Other Libraries

To Request an item from the North Carolina Community College Evergreen (NCCCE) Libraries,  locate the item in the NCCCE Library catalog (search above), click Place Hold button, login to your account as prompted (or create one if you don't already have one) and choose how you would like to be notified that your item has arrived

1. Click "Place Hold" on an item in the catalog that you want held or sent for pickup at Holt Library

2. If prompted, login with our Library Card Number and your PIN. Your Library Card Number is SWC-XXXXXXX (X's are your student ID number). Your PIN is the last 4 digits of your Student ID Number.

3. Choose notification options. You may choose to be notified by phone, email or text by checking the appropriate boxes. You must choose your phone carrier service from the drop down menu and provide your phone number to receive texts. Carrier charges may apply. You will be notified when the item is ready for pickup. 

 

To Submit a Request for an Item Not Found in the NCCCE Libraries

If Holt Library doesn't own the book or article you need, and it isn't available through the North Carolina Community College Evergreen (NCCCE) Libraries, we will borrow it for you from another library through our OCLC WorldCat worldwide library catalog service.

Books Requests: 

  • Title, Author, ISBN (if possible), and any other information you can find on the item you want (year of publication, etc.)
  • You must have a Holt Library account established and it must be in good standing (no fines outstanding, no overdue items).
  • Allow at least a week for your books to arrive on our campus
  • Do we have your current phone number/email address?

Article Requests:

  • Article Title, Article Author, Journal Name, Date of Publication (at least year, volume, issue and page numbers if you have it) 
  •  We want to notify you quickly. For articles, we will deliver the article to your SCC email account as soon as it is received, which is usually 1-2 days from your request date.
