Laptops and Wi-Fi  Hotspots

Windows 10 laptops and Wi-Fi hotspots are available to check out for the duration of the semester.

Technology items can be picked up at any SCC campus in Jackson, Macon, and Swain Counties. Contact us to have items sent to one of these locations for you to pick up. See here for locations. 

In order to borrow technology items from the library, borrowers must:

• Be an SCC student registered for classes for the current semester at the time of checkout
• Have a student ID or valid picture ID
• Have a library account in good standing
• Submit a signed technology lending agreement form, available below
• If a borrower is withdrawn from all classes or leaves SCC, then all borrowed technology items must be returned to the library immediately

Failure to return technology on time may result in:

• Inability to receive grades, transcripts and graduate
• A 7 day wait from the date the items are returned until a student can checkout technology again
• Being billed for the replacement cost of the item(s)

Webcams and Calculators

Adesso CyberTrack H4 webcams and TI-83 Plus graphing calculators are available for SCC students to check out for the duration of the semester. Students must be currently registered for classes at SCC, and have a library account in good standing.
