Print Resources & ILL

Southwestern Community college is a member of NCCCE, an online library group consisting of our local library collection plus the resources of 25 community college libraries across North Carolina. Users can check out materials from the Holt Library or request to borrow books through Interlibrary Loan services. The Holt Library receives Interlibrary Loans by mail in about a week, and the user will be notified when to stop by and check out the book.

Nationwide Interlibrary Loan services are also available by contacting library staff. To search the collections of worldwide libraries, go to the WorldCat link on the MySCC/Library page. Once you have identified items to borrow, then contact the librarian to place a request.

If you are a student living in Jackson, Macon, Swain County or the Qualla Boundary, please coordinate with local SCC Library staff to facilitate the Interlibrary Loan request.

If you are a student at a distance, and need print materials, please coordinate with your closest public or community college library to facilitate the Interlibrary Loan request.

There is no charge to request materials through Interlibrary Loan; however, advance planning is necessary.
