MasterFile Premier
A database of full-text magazines, journals, and reference books, as well as photo, map, and flag files dating back to 1917. Titles include popular magazines like Consumer Reports, Car and Driver, Country Living, Elle, Essence, Good Housekeeping, Harper’s Bazaar, and Popular Mechanics alongside an expansive list of scholarly and trade publications.
Occupational Outlook Handbook
Profiles for hundreds of occupations including sections like What They Do, Work Environment, How to Become One, Pay, and more. Each profile also includes Bureau of Labor Statistics employment projections for the 2010-20 decade.

Library Card & Book Checkout

Your account at Holt Library is created when you register for classes at SCC. You will need an SCC student ID card or other valid picture ID to borrow materials from the library.

Non-students can obtain a library card with us using this online form, OR email us at library@southwesterncc.edu
Book checkout period is 4 weeks and students and faculty may renew items up to 2 times.
Lost or damaged books will be billed at the cost of replacement and must be paid at the Business Office on the Jackson Campus.
