Educational Opportunities offers students and community members connections to prepare for and succeed in college and/or the workplace. The department consists of six distinct areas that work cooperatively to meet the needs of all student learning.

How to check out books

If you do not have a current SCC ID, visit the Cashier's office in Balsam first to get your ID card. There will be a long bar code (14 digits) on the back of the card. This will become your library account number when you register your ID card. 

The SCC ID card becomes the library card.

DISTANCE LEARNING: 

  • We can deliver your materials to Macon or Swain campuses.
  • ALLOW FOR DELIVERY TIME!
  • You can return items the same way (see the receptionist at your SCC Center).
  • You will need to establish a Holt Library account to check out print items. Email us if we can send you the form that turns your SCC ID into your library card (library@southwesterncc.edu).
